I have been fortunate to work alongside talented teams for a variety of sector-leading organisations.

Building an effective product requires a methodical approach to user experience design. Nielsen Norman Group summarise this brilliantly with their Design Thinking wheel (left).

Working through these steps ensures design decisions are supported by tangible user research, and a product is validated efficiently.

It also means collaboration forms the core of my role; whether it be surfacing insights to the team, working through a problem alongside business stakeholders, or discussing potential solutions with interface designers.

About me

TomM.jpg

I began my career as a Strategist — gaining experience of the 10,000ft view of product strategy — before specialising as a UX Designer.

I love solving problems and building great products; getting my hands dirty ideating product concepts, prototyping a solution and testing it with real users.

Learning new things and being open to different ideas is what drives me, and is part of what makes the job of UX Design so interesting. I have shared some of my design resources here.
